The workshop offers an introduction to the world of contemporary machine knitting and 3D knitting technology. Participants will enjoy a guided tour of our workshop, exploring the production environment and learning how digital design translates into knitted objects. The session includes an explanation and live demonstration of 3D knitting techniques, knitting machines, and specialised software. Different types of yarns and their properties will also be presented, alongside selected case studies showcasing applications across knitwear, knitted footwear, accessories, and contemporary knitted artworks. The workshop provides an inspiring overview of the creative and technical possibilities of modern knitting.
