ETN CONFERENCE 2026 IN ATHENS
We are extremely excited to announce that the 21st ETN Conference „VISIONS & TRADITIONS“ will take place in ATHENS, Greece from Octobre 21st to 23rd, 2026! We have been working on planning that conference in this exceptional city for some time now and only recently received positive confirmation from the owners of the conference venue. Right in the heart of Athens – we are thrilled!
VISIONS & TRADITIONS
Thematically, we will bridge the gap between Greece's outstanding historical textile tradition of past centuries and modern craftsmanship, design, and textile art. We will also delve deeply into the educational needs in the field of textile crafts and art and not overlook the socially unifying potential of collaborative textile art. Presentations by international textile artists on technical innovations and current artistic positions will round out the diverse program. Of course, ETN members will once again have the opportunity to present their current projects in the popular networking sessions. On October 21st and 23rd, we will be guests in the conference hall of the Stelios Foundation in Plaka, in the heart of Athens. On October 22nd on the other hand, we will take a trip together to the beautiful seaside town of NAFPLIO. There, we will be welcomed by the Basil Papantoniou Foundation at its impressive Ethnological Museum.

Of course, organizing and hosting such a conference is impossible without local support. Therefore, we would like to introduce our valued partners in Athens, all of whom are young and very gifted textile artists:
