Ecoprint / Mediumprint with Sawatou Mouratidou

Printing fabrics with plants is an exciting process that magically leads to spectacular results.
We will get to know the entire process of the print: First, the leaves are placed on the damp, usually pre-treated fabric. The fabric is then rolled tightly onto a tube, the bundle tied and steamed for around 1.5 hours. After cooling, the bundle is unwrapped, the leaves are removed, and finally the fabric still needs to be washed and ironed.

Medium print is a supplementary technique and of course offers many more possibilities and variants to create colored backgrounds.

Das Bedrucken von Stoffen mit Pflanzen ist ein spannender Prozess, der wie durch Magie zu spektakulären Ergebnissen führt.
Wir werden den gesamten Ablauf des Prints kennenlernen: Zuerst werden die Blätter auf den feuchten, in der Regel vorbehandelten Stoff gelegt. Der Stoff wird anschließend fest auf ein Rohr gerollt, das Bündel verschnürt und ca. 1,5 Stunden gedämpft. Nach dem Abkühlen wird das Bündel ausgepackt, die Blätter werden entfernt, und zum Schluss muss der Stoff noch gewaschen und gebügelt werden.

Mediumprint ist eine ergänzende Technik und bietet natürlich viel mehr Möglichkeiten und Varianten um farblichen Hintergrund zu kreieren.
