Textile craftsmanship – with a modern twist
Webermarkt draws visitors to the Museum Tuch + Technik in Neumünster
The Museum Tuch + Technik in Neumünster will become a forum for high-quality craftsmanship on Saturday and Sunday, 11 and 12 October 2025, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.:
The weavers market will feature unique and mostly handmade creations made of fine silk, fluffy wool fabrics and rustic linen and cotton fabrics – but also leather, felt and paper. Visitors can purchase these high-quality, one-of-a-kind items, such as cushions, blankets, tablecloths, unusual crocheted jewellery, original paper crafts, and the finest handmade bags and wallets made from sturdy leather. This year, there will be around 30 exhibitors from all over Germany, with one textile artist coming from Sweden and another from Denmark. Around a third of the exhibitors are participating for the first time. A jury of experts selected the participants based on the quality of their craftsmanship and artistic style. The supporting programme includes spinning and weaving demonstrations – the craftspeople are happy to let visitors look over their shoulders and answer questions about traditional crafts. Tickets purchased on Saturday are valid for two days: adults 6 euros, free for children under 18, schoolchildren and students 2 euros. Coffee and cake will be provided by the Förderverein Museum Tuch + Technik e.V. (Friends of the Museum of Cloth and Technology).
