The Valcellina Award is the International Contemporary Textile/Fiber Art Competition, open to fibre artists under 35 years of age.
Theme of the 11th Edition was “WE(H)AVE”, a play-on-words between “to weave” and “to have”. Fibre Arts become the interpreter of the present in a dialogue between the historical memory of traditional knowledge, seeking innovative visions: through artistic research, while elaborating cultural and social transformation.
After a careful evaluation of the material received and compliant with the competition regulation, the jury selected the best works that are now show at the exhibition in Maniago:
