The 31st edition of Miniartextil opened for the public on October 16, 2022, until January 8, 2023. The choice of the title Rosa Alchemico is a paradigm and stems from the desire to give life to new forms of positivity and energy: the color pink peacefully conveys an idea of freedom which, combined with the ever-current concept of alchemy and mixing, appears to be the perfect combination to release new ideas.

Hosted this year in the spaces of the eighteenth-century Villa Olmo, the exhibition sees the participation of international names who exhibit for the first time in Como: from Marinella Senatore, an artist active in Italy and abroad, fresh from the Alliance des Corps Festival that invaded a few days ago the entire Palais de Tokyo in Paris, after an important solo show in London whose opening was accompanied by a grandiose performance, and whose practice is characterized by a strong collective participation, to Jacopo Benassi, artist, photographer, musician , from the omniscient production of art, already present, with his works at the Tate in London, at the Palais De Tokyo in Paris, at the Italian Cultural Institute in London, at the Centro Pecci in Prato and collaborator of directors such as Paolo Sorrentino, Daniele Ciprì, Asia Argento, Maurizio Maggiani who will completely revisit the Teatrino of Villa Olmo.

And again, Emma Talbot and Igshaan Adams, both present at La Biennale di Venezia and who in Como will present two works that are a perfect synthesis of their work, Teresa Antignani with her passionate work also of denouncing what happens in the Land of Fires, Ruben Montini who, as Eugenio Viola writes in his essay It kills more the tongue than the sword "focusing on uncomfortable but more urgent and current issues than ever, the artist carries out a frontal attack on heteronormative stereotypes linked to sex, sexual orientation and to the so-called 'gender identity' ".

And then again Gabriella Benedini, soon on display at the Gallerie d'Italia, Raul Gabriel, Manuel Ameztoy, Jaime Poblete, Pae White with an unpublished work created specifically for the Villa Olmo exhibition in collaboration with the Kaufmann-Repetto Gallery, Veronica Bisesti , Angela Ricci Lucchi and Luigi Ontani, a name that needs no introduction.

Among the 234 mini-textile projects from all over the world, the jury (composed of Mimmo Totaro, Vice-president of the ARTE & ARTE association, the critic, curator and art historian Paolo Bolpagni and the critic and curator Sergio Gaddi) chose last June the 54 works that best interpreted the theme. Starting from this edition, the prize for the best work - this year awarded to Danielle Pèan Le Roux for Black rose with gold pearl - is named in memory of Nazzarena Bortolaso, co-founder with Mimmo Totaro of the event and who passed away last year. April 24; and, again, a special tribute will be dedicated to her during Miniartextil 2022. Special mention to Vanessa Lobosco for the opera De Flore Aureo.

The 2022 edition of the exhibition will see the long-awaited return of the educational section dedicated to children and families, MINIARTE, as well as meetings with artists and insights dedicated to the themes addressed by the artists on display. Space also for esotericism and magic with an evening dedicated to reading the olfactory tarot - 29 October 2022.

Great news for Miniartextil is the unprecedented collaboration with the Comense Archaeological Society through the installation of the work Garden Sweet Garden by the French artist Mai Tabakian in the compendium of the Terme di Como Romana, located in the city center, in Viale Lecco.

Thus a new mix of languages will be born, ranging from ancient to contemporary and which will allow the public to offer integrated guided tours of both Villa Olmo and the archaeological complex which will take place, upon reservation, every Saturday afternoon when the exhibition opens.

The appointments with the FAI Delegation of Como will also return and a special event in collaboration with the textile group of Confindustria Como, to underline the deep-rooted bond that exists between Miniartextil and the most important production chain in the area.
