Textile Travels Paris and Textile Travels London  are a new kind of online guide for textile enthusiasts of all kinds planning a visit to either city. These fabulous guides are available as PDFs and can be downloaded individually, or together for a reduced price, from the Textile Tours of Paris website.

The guides  include 20 pages with a fantastic list of boutiques, museums, galleries, fabric stores and neighbourhoods, flea markets, bookstores, libraries, interior fabric stores, passementeries and guided tours that textile enthusiasts can enjoy in Paris. When you click on the name of each place it will take you directly to a Google map with the location pinned so you can easily plan your trip in advance and then navigate your way like a local when you arrive in Paris (we’ve even colour-coded the pins!). Underneath the name there is a description of the textile treasures available to see, purchase and learn, as well as their address and website.

Woven through the guide, there are links to Haptic and Hue podcasts that explore fascinating stories about French lace, silk, chintz, haberdasheries and flea markets, so your trip to Paris will be enriched by these captivating tales. In the London guide these explore the Huguenot weavers of Spitalfields, the cloth tokens of the Foundling Museum, mid-century modern textiles and where the much-loved Tube got its fabrics from.

Textile Travels are the guides we've all been waiting for! Designed for anyone who travels in search of textile treasures, but despairs they may be out of the loop. The Textile Travels guides will make sure you don't miss a stitch again!
