The Swedish Museum of Textiles in Boras together with Nordic Textile Art (NTA) is inviting members of NTA to apply for participating in an exhibition at The Swedish Museum of Textiles in Boras during the coming annual Nordic Textile Meeting.

For 2021 NTA focus on the language of our hands and what they might communicate. How far can the discussion go when there is no spoken language present? Can our lands talk and if so, what do they say? How do you, as an artist, interpret the concept “Talking Hands” in your work? As artists we all work with our hands in one way or another, this time we want to take the discussion further than how the hands function as technical tools and aid. How do you reflect on our own or others´ hands in relation to your own practice, their significance, their value and qualities. At the time when “handmade” is on the rise again, one can wonder what is not handmade?
