On August 11, 2021, the III Public Art Festival, curated by Svetlana Kuropatkina, opened in the center of Saint Petersburg in the Courtyards of the State Academic Chapel of Saint Petersburg, located at Embankment of Moika River, 20. The theme of the Festival is "Art Technologies".

The Festival was attended by 10 authors, including ETN member Natalia Tsvetkova, professor of the Department of Art Textiles of the Saint Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design. She presented the ecological installation "Butterfly Effect", which consisted of five objects-butterflies woven on a hand loom from cut plastic bags.

The image of a butterfly is used as a symbol of transformation, the birth of a new one (the appearance of a caterpillar). The so-called "butterfly effect" is observed when a minor action in the present can have large and unpredictable consequences in the future.

The Butterflies are woven from plastic bags which are an expression of ecological-the creation of "natural" objects from "non-natural" materials.

In addition to the installation, the Festival presents art objects "Tulip" and "Unicorn Skull".

The Festival will last until September 30.
