Textile artist Viktoria Demiray launches the initiative Kulturquilt. The centerpiece of the collaborative work is a knitted poem by Semra Ertan entitled ‘My name is foreigner’, which draws attention to growing racism. Textile contributions for the community quilt should measure maximum 20x20 cm and can be handed in or send to:

Entries may be embroidered, knitted, woven, sewn, painted, printed on fabric or created using any textile related material or technique. Please don’t forget to state your name. All pieces will be sewn together to form a big quilt and will be exhibited as a collaborative artwork.
Viktoria Demiray: Graduate designer with a degree from the Spengergasse Textile College, works as a freelance jewelery and textile designer in Vienna.
