Open Call for Entries: PUSHING THE LIMITS - A Virtual Shaft Weaving Art Exhibition

Pushing the Limits is a virtual shaft weaving art exhibition curated by former ETN president Lala de Dios and textile artist Olivier Masson. The exhibition will feature unique pieces handwoven on a multi-shaft loom The selected pieces will be shown in an online 3D exhibition engineered by textile artist Olivier Masson from December 1, 2020 to December 1, 2021. Deadline for applications is November 15, 2020.

The call for entries is open to shaft weavers all over the world and participation is free of charge. The aim of the curators is to highlight the creative potential that can be found in the “limited machine” that the shaft loom is considered to be to create textile pieces that are works of art in their own right. They are volunteers, theirs is a labour of love.
