Prize for Innovation in a large format 2018, photo the artist
The preparations for the eighth edition of the internationally recognized European Quilt Triennial have started! Well-known jurors from Germany and abroad will select the best exhibits for the exhibition from the submissions of the competition in the spring of next year, which will start at Textilssammlung Max Berk in Heidelberg in autumn 2021, who is organizer of the Triennial.
The following prizes will be awarded:
1st prize:
Doris Winter Memorial Prize for innovation in material. technique and design to the amount of € 5.000 donated by the Betty Barcley Group
2nd prize:
€ 1.000 for talented young quilters and newcomers under the age of 40
3rd prize:
€ 1.000 for innovation in a larger format (minimum 3 m², maximum 4 m²)
Subject to the finavial consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, the exhibition is expected to be shown in Heidelberg from 10 Ocotober to 16 Janunary 2022 and subsequently at Kreismuseum Zons in Germany and Textilmuseum St. Gallen in Switzerland. Plans for further exhibitions in Germany and other countires are currently under discussion.
