Call for artists for the 30th Miniartextil Como, IT

Miniartextil celebrates its first thirty years of uninterrupted activity with a large celebratory exhibition which will open on September 26 in Como. The new call for the MINI section intends to enhance them in the best possible way: minitextile artworks represent the heart of the exhibition project since 1991.

No theme proposed by the organizers, after years of interesting reflections on key concepts such as - citing them only in part and in no particular order - love, mother earth, happiness, energy, light and stars up to more recent years dedicated to the borders, humanity and fantasy, precisely to leave the maximum freedom of expression to the artists with the invitation to focus on Miniartextil and on what research in the field of fiber art represents today for contemporary art.

It is possible to participate in the CALL FOR ARTISTS within April 11 2020 by sending images of the proposed work, a short curriculum vitae and a statement from the artist. Please be aware that a fee of 30 euro has to be payed to apply to the contest.

The Jury appointed by ARTE & ARTE will meet in May, and it is composed by leading figures known internationally, who will have the task of selecting the 54 works of 30MINIARTEXTIL in addition to conferring the annual ARTE&ARTE AWARD.
