This exhibition will show works that employ structural, textile techniques (woven, knitted, crocheted, plaited, knotted, basket structures, bobbin lace, felt-making, braiding, quilting) and derivations of these structures.  We are looking for a nontraditional, redefinition of these processes in materials, approaches to technique and application.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Tradition: Reinvented is open to all artists, 18 and over, living and working in New England.  Current members of the Cambridge Art Association (CAA) – including Artist, Associate Artist, Student, and Lifetime – receive a discount on the entry fee. This exhibit will be juried in person, and all artists are required to deliver their work for in-person review. Pre-registration for the exhibit is strongly encouraged.

Tradition: Reinvented will be presented at the CAA’s Kathryn Schultz Gallery, located at 25R Lowell Street, Cambridge Ma. The entirety of the exhibit will be featured online for the duration of the exhibition timeline.
