Established in 1987 the Knitting & Stitching Show was the original craft fair in UK, the idea was simple to create a place where like-minded crafters could meet up, discuss ideas, learn new skills and shop for their annual craft supplies.

Since more than 30 years the Knitting & Stitching Shows runs throughout the UK and Ireland, with shows in London, Harrogate and Dublin, including a huge fair, workshops competitions and exhibitions. Each show has grown in size and substance. The Knitting & Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace remains our flagship show and welcomes 30.000 crafters every October. Each year the organizers welcome 300 exhibitors from all corners of the world selling specialist craft supplies creating an unrivaled shopping experience.

Because of the Corona crises the last Knitting and Stitching show could not take place, so the organizers created an online version with the title “Beyond KS”.

Among other things, there was a competition on the subject of self-portrait. Three categories were advertised: adults, adolescents (11-17 years) and children (5-10 years). From the large number of submissions, both a main prize and an audience prize were awarded by a jury.
