The group “artTextil” from Dachau created a textile homage to the women at the Bauhaus and to their teachers. The artists of the Bauhaus era inspired them to create their own work, implemented with new materials and their own forms of expression. The various textile objects, felted, sewed, woven, knitted or embroidered, are as diverse as their creators and reflect zeitgeist, creativity and the characteristic Bauhaus style.
As a guest in Dachau and as a special feast for the eyes, also the work of the quilting group "QUILTE-BIERNE" from Denmark is shown in the exhibition.
