BORO - Japanisch inspiriertes Textilrecycling
Der Workshop ist aufgeteilt in zwei unabhängige Kurstage. Sie sind themenmäßig verschieden und je nach Interesse einzeln oder gemeinsam zu buchen sind. Nähere Informationen zu den Inhalten gibt es im angehängten Folder und auf meiner Webseite.

WORKSHOP 1
Samstag 02. 03. 2024
Boro-Textilien, sashiko nähen und flicken
Der Einführungsvortrag im ersten Workshop stellt die boro-Textilien und die sashiko-Nähtechnik vor. Mit der Fertigung eines 'zokin' Tuches wird die sashiko Stickerei eingeübt. In dieser Methode kann ein mitgebrachtes verschlissenes Kleidungsstück repariert werden. Weitere Methoden des Stopfens und Reparierens können erlernt und angewendet werden.

WORKSHOP 2
Sonntag 03. 03. 2024, Reisbeutel nähen
‘Komebukuro’ ist ein besonderer Beutel für Opfergaben. Er wird konstruiert und handgenäht aus vielen kleinen Stoffstücken mit einem speziellen Verschluss. Die komplexen Arbeitsschritte zur Fertigung des doppelten Reisbeutels vermittelt der zweite Workshop.

Kreative Studientage
Freitag 08.03 und Samstag 09.03.2024
Wer Inspiration sucht, Fortschritte im Gestalten machen und schöpferisch tätig sein möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Ideen suchen und entwickeln, experimentieren, variieren, sich einlassen auf unbekanntes Terrain und dabei Überraschendes finden und erkennen. Das ist, kurz gesagt, der Inhalt der Studientage. Tag der Druckkunst
15. bis 17. 03.2024
Anlässlich der bundesweiten Aktionen des BBK werde ich an diesem Wochenende im Atelier eine Ausstellung mit neuen Arbeiten zeigen, in denen experimenteller Druck verwendet ist. Saturday 02. 03. 2024
Boro textiles, sashiko sewing and mending
The introductory lecture in the first workshop introduces boro textiles and the sashiko sewing technique. Sashiko embroidery will be practised by making a 'zokin' cloth. This method can be used to repair a worn item of clothing that has been brought along. Other methods of darning and repairing can be learnt and applied.

WORKSHOP 2
Sunday 03. 03. 2024, sewing rice bags
'Komebukuro' is a special bag for offerings. It is constructed and hand-sewn from many small pieces of fabric with a special fastener. The second workshop teaches the complex steps involved in making the double rice bag.

If you are looking for inspiration, want to make progress in design and be creative, this is the right place for you. Looking for and developing ideas, experimenting, varying, venturing into unknown territory and finding and recognising surprising things in the process. Day of the art of printing
15 to 17 March 2024
On the occasion of the nationwide actions of the BBK, I will show an exhibition of new works in the studio this weekend, in which experimental printing is used.
