"Vidas de alta costura" pretende mostrar la evolución de la moda femenina siguiendo el hilo de varias generaciones de la familia de Maya Álvarez de Sotomayor de León quien, muy generosamente, ha cedido en comodato al museo más de ciento setenta piezas, que son un reflejo de la indumentaria de la alta sociedad madrileña entre 1890 y la década de 1980. Para esta exposición se han seleccionado veintiséis trajes que se muestran en cuatro ámbitos: “Vestidas de largo”, “Vestidas de día”, “Vestidas de firmas internacionales” y, finalmente, “Vestidas de novia”.
