In her lecture German textile designer Magdalena Sophie Orland will talk about her working methods based on selected projects.
Her artistic research approaches in her textile works include experimental material investigations, interdisciplinary connection building, merging of traditional craft and manufacturing techniques with contemporary interpretations and methods, as well as the role of textile design within society.

Born in 1992, textile designer, lives and works in Leipzig. Special focus on the combination of traditional handicraft techniques and modern interpretations, experimental material research and development of innovative manufacturing technologies.
