The ETN Community
The Network works in the spirit of solidarity. It is based on the interest of its members in establishing working contacts and actively taking part in an international exchange of information.
Since it was formally set up as an international Association with its seat in Strasbourg, individuals have also been able to take part in the Network. ETN offers its members the following services:
The Network has a database with the important addresses of institutions and individuals from the field of textile culture in art, design, craft and cultural heritage, education etc. Projects are also stored in the database.
ETN members have access to the database and they receive an English language Newsletter four times a year. This Newsletter publishes events, tips on furtherance programmes as well as news on the activities of the ETN Association.
Representation of Interests:
ETN maintains contacts with other networks and it supports international cooperation in the field of textile culture. Therefore, ETN keeps in contact with the European organisations.
ETN organizes international Working Groups which can apply for furtherance ressources in the name of the Network.
The Network organizes biannual meetings which take place in a different country every year. The conferences have become important opportunities for those interested in textile culture to meet.
